I've got an idea of doing this shot in a bit of a different manner... Getting closer, to make the ramp more of a leading (bulky) line. And maybe even losing some distractions. Assuming the weather cooperates :)

I think the first part sounds like a good idea. As for distractions, well, take what you can get I reckon. Just trying to visualize ... getting closer but also moving to the left some? I'm thinking this might be one to let go of the perspective control for the sake of gettin' something funky cool.
