Selected for Google Maps and Google Earth

The clean Tranquebar beach has been identified as a " Ozone Rich Beach " due to the prevalence of excessive dose of Ozone (Os - heavy oxygen). The ozone content, which prevents the harmful ultraviolet rays from penetrating into the atmosphere, is said to possess a rejuvenating effect on one's health. The ozone content in this place ranks second highest in the world (the first one being an area in Switzerland).
