Sunset from Jumping Off Rock

Selected for Google Maps and Google Earth

It was worth the drive in and the drive out (in darkness). I shall be exploring this area much more in coming months.

Very nice, Jethro. Guess you didn't jump off the rock. Another post-card quality photo - maybe you could quit your day job soon. Worth a YS and like.

I DID quit my day job..... thanks.

Just got back from another trip, hence the belated reply.

Best wishes from a chilly North Carolina - Jethro

A spectacular sunset of your own Jethro! Is it called "Jumping off Rock" because it has beautiful views "to die for"! Cheers - Jim

We both could look it up (and I am sure I have at one time or another) Jim but you know it will just say something one is sure why its called Jumping Off Rock BUT ...... and go on to list the usual stories about a man chasing his dog, a lassies losing her lover in the war and local teenage rituals etc.

I think your explanation is better than all of them.

Many thanks ol' chum - Jethro
