Corfue - Kanoniview in evening glow.

The Vlaherna monastery up front, and behind it the Mouse Island (Pontikonisi) with its Pantokrator monastery. The legend tells that the Mouse Island is the ship of Faiakes petrified by Poseidon in revenge because he helped Odysseus. The island got it's name because the stair leading up to the monastery looks like a mouse tail when seen from a distance. In future the landing strip of the airport will be extended to about where the little boat to the right is sailing.
