Gambetta Bridge and Célé River, Figeac, Southern France
This bridge was built in 1883 in place of an old medieval bridge. It is named after an illustrious French republican politician, Léon Gambetta, born in a city near here.
¡ LOL!

Léon Gambetta was born in the city right next to here. It was a Republican politician. He was one of the most important political figures of the early years of the Third Republic. (We are in the Fifth Republic in France.) But it is true that many streets and boulevards named after him in France!
