While Jordan Creek eventually leads up into some very pretty country, part of the vast River of No Return Wilderness, the lower part has been mined, dredged, burned and trampled over for a long time. This photo is of the lower part.

I read about the widespread dredge mining, talk about environmental impact. Interesting to see that nature is coming back, if slowly.
