From Spartilas - the "balcony" of Corfu

Selected for Google Maps and Google Earth

The trip above the mountains just beneath the Pantocrator is worth the effort once you see these fantastic views towards the city of Corfu + the southern part of the island.

Thanks a lot Marlene for your like. As we were walking along the road to take pictures of this beautiful view we suddenly heard a "ti stille" which is danish and means "be quit". It was a danish woman who is married to one of the locals. She lived in a lovely three storey house with this fantastic view. Don't say the world is big.
Kind regards, Johannes

Schönes Wochenende, Angelika

Hallo Angelika,
Vielen Dank.

Hello Ahmet Bekir,
Thank you very much for your like. It was worth the effort going over the mountains to get this view into the camera although it was very difficult finding the road which in Acharavi more looked like a narrow private passage between two houses than a secondary road. A truck could not pass.
Kind regards from Copenhagen, Johannes

Hello again Marlene,
I am also glad that you like this fantastic view. As I was about to take the picture someone on a balcony spoke danish. It was a danish girl married to a local living in a wonderful house with that view. She told me about the nickname of the village - the balcony of Corfu. A little further down there is a restaurant with this view.
A big hug from Denmark,
Johannes
