Super photograph. Brings back lots of memories foe me as me and my schoolmates spent summer hols at South Gare in the cabin which is in the foreground left. This was around 1956. We would take the train from Middlesbrough, jump off at Warrenby Halt and walk to Paddy's Hole. The sea on the beach side was great to swim in at low tide as the basin was cut off by a underwater sandback. You can see the submerged sandbank in the satellite view. Terrific image! Thanks

Hi Greendolphin I am so pleased to receive your comment and know my picture has taken you nicely down memory lane, it sounds like you have good memories from there :-). I have often wondered why that particular hut stands alone like a general overlooking his troops on parade, perhaps you can enlighten me.

kind regards, Sam

Hi Sam, I never knew myself why that cabin stood alone. I remember it belonged to the father of a school friend and the family were keen on fishing. They also had a yorkshire coble moored in Paddy's Hole. We're going back to about 1956!

Best regards to you.
