Very Nice Shot

Thank you, Dana! Sweet Creek has always been one of my favorite places to photograph, so when I'm in this part of Oregon I make it a point to stop there for a visit. Within the mile and a half of trail that leads from the lower parking area to Sweet Creek Falls itself, (This is actually one of the lesser falls) there are dozens of incredible runs and falls along the way. Photogenic year round, I would suggest a hike in - Spring for dramatic swift water shots, - Summer, for tranquil, long exposures (like this one taken in August), - Fall, for the incredible Autumn color, or, - Winter, for high water and (on somewhat rare occasions) snow. This is an excellent, very well maintained, easy to hike trail.
