built between 1793 and 1795, as one of the first structures at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill. A dormitory, it was enlarged in the 19th C. and features the work of the famous architect Andrew Jackson Davis and the fine cabinetry of African American craftsmen. Restored recently and again serving as a student dormitory with the latest conveniences like wifi.
