It is times like this when I wish I was a carpenter or handyman.
Batten down the hatches!... Hope you are OK!
Best of luck to all under the storm
♥♥ Mike in ////uk
We're staying on the 3rd floor of this hotel and have found a beer shop that's open!!!
They will need carpenters until 2018 here after this Randy
Should have some GREAT pictures to post between us NICK it'll all be worth it.
No probs Mike nowt like a windy Workington marra.
Thanks y'all - Jethro
I'd join you for a pint but the bar stools would of floated away. Good luck Jethro and all that have been effected.
What a sad story!
I hope you and your family, no problem?
I wish you a speedy beautiful days.
Hi Jethro, I hope you and yours are all safe and well. Take care there, Nik
Why is it not selected? Ridiculous!
All the best Peter
Is it because there is no sky showing?
oh, dear, Jethro! i hope you are allright!
town flooded and you sitting in the hotel pub sipping beer :D it reminds me l'Aquila in Italy- when berlusconi said to survivors- imagine you are on camping holiday! :))))
Phwew..... just got back KC - yes the bar stools would have floated away and we don't bolt them down here unlike some places! The price of petrol went up, but beer remained the same.
Gyöngyi - no problem what so ever. We had a wonderful holiday with lots of things to see..... waves, wind, emergency vehicles etc.
All safe and accounted for Nik
I agree with what ever you said Peter :o)
I'll try again and then repost!
Mike - man the wind used to lift paving stones in Workington. It were a right dangerous place in a storm.
Unda - we had one scary moment when we thought all the pubs were closed. But we managed to find one open! Phwew!!
Thank you all my friends for your concern - I am am back sober(ish) and sound. More pictures to follow.
Glad to hear you made through this mess, watched the coverage on the news and it looked horrendous.
Oh well just another experience I guess Jethro!
Pleased to hear your ok, you've sure had it bad, next thing is who is going to be the next President I'd vote for you Jethro get standing!
All the best old pal
We got off lightly Vince - a modified vacation as we spent a lot of time dodging wind and rain.
We got some good photographs though..... watch this space.
Gordon it was horrendous further up north, we got off lightly (except the guy with the green pick-up truck). I cannot stand as I cannot take things seriously enough and was not born in the USA! But thanks you for your encouragement... in all matters.
Take care y'all - Jethro
Hi Jethro! I am glad to hear you are well. Best wishes to you from Antalya- Aygor
We watched this on BBC TV Jethro, and it was frightening! Everyone seemed to be well warned but ...
Glad you found a beer shop, and that you were on the 3rd floor!
All is well here Aygor thank you for checking inn.
Everyone was well warned but some irresponsible people purposely got in harms way and went and vacationed in the middle of it! Can you believe that we did that?
It was great AND we found a bar open.
Many thanks Amelia
Best wishes both - Jethro
Hope you were there after the worst was over Jethro! America seems to be having more than it's fair share of storms lately. Perhaps I shouldn't complain so much about our modest wet weather in Ireland. At least we have nothing as dramatic and devastating as Hurricane Sandy! Best wishes - Jim
We arrived just before the storm Jim and watched it out.
Cheers mate - Jethro
Looks very bad but glad to hear that you're okay!
