das ist Wunderschön...ein L&F ,viele Grüße für Dich

With all the rain this year, parts of it have become very unstable. I walked along the shore but I wouldn't walk beneath the cliffs!

Many thanks for L&F williclip! It was a bracing walk :-)

You did right to keep your distance Rosa, it looks rather dodgy to say the least, our coast line seems to be eroding at a rate of knots unfortunately.

Andy Rodker on October 30, 2012

Good example of these cliffs. Like Best wishes, Andy

Neil Grimwood

Too right Neil. A young woman was sadly killed here in the summer when a large chunk fell away! Very sad when she was enjoying the little good weather we had this year.

Andy Rodker

It's not until you are right down on the beach that you realise how high these cliffs are Andy. The rain this year has been really damaging! Thanks for your like.

Best wishes, Rosa.

Stunning shot Rosa! I like it very much. Best regards, Ildikó

Ildikó A.

Thank you Ildikó. I was pleased there were people walking along the beach to give scale to the cliffs. Best wishes, Rosa.

Ah, I did enlarge. I love the creatures of the sand and stone wall. Why "Jurassic"?

"Jurassic Park" comes to my mind.

Rosalyn Hilborne on November 1, 2012

Thank you Fairy! I think this can explain it better than I can.

Nick Weall on November 1, 2012

I thought that this was near that tragic spot and yes I'd keep well away ~ You can see Portland Bill in the far distance and maybe a brontosaurus :~)))

Amelia Royan on November 1, 2012

Lovely photo Rosa, but I cannot blame you for keeping well out of the way of these cliffs. There are a couple of very deep fissures here, and more of the cliff could come down in the winter. It reminds me very much of the cliffs at Happisburgh in Norfolk!

Did you find any dinosaur footprints?

Rosalyn Hilborne on November 1, 2012

Amelia Royan

Thank you Amelia. There were many more larger cracks further on, mostly caused by the higher than average rainfall this year! No dinosaurs this time...I think it may have been a little cold for them ;o) Cheers, Rosa.

I hadn't thought about it, but yes that must be Portland in the distance! Well spotted. Cheers, Rosa.

Aha. Jurassic is a geologic period and system. Interesting.
