Grahan Hobbs. I use ND 6.0 (1,000,000x, -20 steps)* and Central ND (1.5x). The exposure time is 2.5 - 3 hrs. plus 30-40 min. after senset. But changeable subject to the time when starting shooting. Just before stopping the shooting, I take off the filters and intentionally expose another few seconds without filter.

• As no maker produces ND 6.0 filters now, you may use two ND 3.0 filters (- 10 steps) instead. (1,000 x 1,000 = 1,000,000x)

Please note that I used Hasselblad 905SWC with filters and film (Kodak E100VS slide film). Therefore no exif information is available.

I explained at the above, but iterate it again. I used a ND 6.0 (Neutral Density 1,000,000x, -20 steps)* and Central ND (1.5x) filter. The proper exposure time is 3 hrs. and 30 min. after senset (from the time when the sun disappears from the horizon).

These factors are changeable subject to the time when you start the shooting. Just before stopping the shooting (3 hrs. plus 30 min.), I took off the filters from the lens and intentionally exposed another few seconds without any filter to get the landscape (islands and bridge) clear.

As no maker produces ND 6.0 filters now, you may use two ND 3.0 filters (- 10 steps) instead of one ND 6.0. (1,000 x 1,000 = 1,000,000x). Regards, TS Jeung.
