Hi Marina,
A really great old stone bridge of 16 arches. i've always liked the bridge perspective in this shot. Taken with a old 28mm Nikor film lens.
Regards h

I like the effect of the clouds, almost mimicing the the age of steam!

True gerry!
Luck was with me that day in the lighting, I wish i had posted this without the duotone! The farmer whose field this was taken from is very approachable with requests to take pics on his land.
Best regards h

Hi Catherine, Apologies for missing your comment!
Hi Ben, It's a great Viaduct & very pretty village your from, It's one of the finest & graceful cut stone viaducts surviving in the country today, A real feature that luckily the village of Borris wisely kept.
Donald was very nice in granting permission to take the pic, I'd imagine it's a regular request!! I think i took this around 2003/4, the 16 arches gave it great perspective, disappearing just behind your house! my only regret is i posted it with blue tone, The BW version is much nicer.
Delighted you like it and i really appreciate you dropping me a line with the info.
Warmest regards from Dublin. h
Ps on the left is a Tag "bridges & viaducts" to see some more abandoned viaducts!
