Amazing, it's so close...! You could be standing right next to the pot of gold! What a wonderful picture, Volkan, I'm adding it to my favourites.

Omer Bey, thank you very much for your kind comments. I hope you don't mind that i was out of town and couldn't replied to you earlier.

Yes, like everyone else here, I am trying to do my best to share the experiences that through the power of photography and Panoramio/GE.

Unfortunately I had very limited time there and didn't have chance to see the details you're referring. Though, I hope to see it someday. Yes, it is very spectacular in many aspects and I wish that every person at least once a life time would have opportunity to experience this part of the world. Hope to see your scanned film photos soon.

Jessica, even though the rainbow is still indicating the road, I am sure among all the visitors thus far, at least one of them dug the road and got all the gold ;)

Best wishes to you from Chicago, Volkan

yes, this is a good one :) Looks like the rainbow is stepping out of the gorge and onto the road! I can't believe the falls cause so much spray across the way like this!

As one can tell from the black spots in the blue sky, this is one of biggest concerns about taking pictures of the falls. Unless you'd be very lucky with the winds there is a lot of mist coming from the big falls and you constantly need to clean the lenses. I think it was a rainy day as well and got lucky for a moment.
