So far the best place for skiing near Tirana. This place is located in the area of "Mali me Gropa". It takes app. 1.5 hours driving with a 4-wheel drive. The road is in "acceptable" conditions for a SUV. There is a wide choice of northern slopes that hold snow most of the time. Obviously, there are no ski lifts. Good in summer too for hiking. The type of environment is alpine pasture with some scattered juniper bushes.
