Takeda fortress was originally built in1441-1443. Once abandoned , it was rebuilt as a magnificent castle around 1600, now we can only see its basement stone walls. Since this area is known for its dense fog and the castle stands at a height of 353 meters ,some people call this site 'Machu Picchu in Japan'.
