hi dann watched a great documentary on the t.v last night all about storm chasers in and around the canadian river valley.They kept mentioning the TIV ,it was driving me mad trying to work out what it meant,but now i know!thanks! This one looks like its been in 'the eye of the storm'.Have you ever driven one of these or actually been in one on a chase?In the programme it looked quite frustrating trying to be in the right place as the tornado hits the ground,exciting though.Take care!

Hi Steve, no I just drive my own vehicle. Last year, it was a 1994 Nissan Sentra ... and this year, I have a 1992 Ford Explorer. Neither of them are quite the hardened storm chase tank, but they do.

I haven't gotten out yet this year unfortunately. Between school (16 credit hours), 30hrs/week at work, and spending time with my ladyfriend (who I do adore spending time with), the opportunity to get out hasn't presented itself. Top that off with the fact that I have a herniated disc in my back that's pinching a nerve ... and I'm havin' a tough time of things here.

sounds painful that dann, this time last year i torn my rotator cuff ligament in my shoulder and was off work for seven weeks,in glorious april sunshine ....what a time i had with my camera!hope you are on the mend soon!

Ouch Steve! That doesn't sound fun at all. Well, aside from that gallivanting around in the spring sunshine part. That part sounds kind of fun. ;)
