Thank you Dumby, Agustgil and Wibb, it is Kennedy and it was taken outside but with a longer exposure, the background pictures get all washed out :)

This is actually a TRIBUTE - not a memorial.

Michael Bilodeau on November 26, 2012

Memorial= a gathering meant to commemorate people or event, you can call it what you want Buddy :)

Jered W on November 26, 2012

I am part of the design team... please check out the website to learn about the Tribute.

Michael Bilodeau on November 26, 2012

What's the link ? :)

Jered W on November 26, 2012

A memorial commemorates death and a tribute honors life. If you understand the history of JFK's visit, you'll understand that Fort Worth has wanted a way to make it clear that JFK was alive that morning in their city. And while Johnson's work in Dallas is a memorial, it is this piece that is a tribute to his life up to that morning.

Michael Bilodeau on November 26, 2012

What was your part of the design team Jered ?

Jered W on November 26, 2012

I am with The Lighting Practice - the lighting designer under the architect Jacobs. If you visit www.jfktribute.com it has the details. The project is privately funded from donations and was spearheaded by DFWI.

Jered W on November 26, 2012

I posted some photos of this, but although Panoramio says they are on the map, I don't see them. Who knows...

Good shot though... didn't mean to take away from that, just correcting the memorial vs. tribute part because it was beat into the design team along the way. They did not want this to be anything about his death.

PS: One of the lights is still NOT installed. It is a small spotlight from a pole that is supposed to light the statue from above and in front. Hopefully it goes in soon.

Michael Bilodeau on November 26, 2012

All right, thank's for the info Jered, got it noted and I'll go check it out, by the way it is a pretty nice place, will you be attending the ceremonies for the 50th next year ? I was there on the 40th and will be there next year, God willing :)

Jered W on November 26, 2012

I plan to be there. Just moved away from Dallas, so we'll see. All the best.

If you just uploaded your pictures, it can take a few days before they're showing on GE
