Magnificent collection of Ents you show Nick, many thanks!

Erik van den Ham on November 11, 2012

I'm not really a narcissist but I must admit that if this landscape could see it's own reflection it would never leave this lakeside. IMHO the reflection is even prettier than the reality as the reflected colors are more saturated. YSL

Sheffield park is great (was there in Mai) with lot's of the Rhododendrons in flower a fresh spring foliage. A funny encounter was the lady that helped us with the entree ticket. She started to to in Dutch to us.... as she was from the Netherlands.

Cheers, Erik

trikermike Hi there Mike ~ not sure what an ent is but it sounds nice ~ an Australian Ant really I expect ~ or maybe an abbreviation of entertainment ~~ Many thanks for your thanks Mike ~ and you are very welcome :~))

Nick, I love this shot. Does that make me Narcissistic? It clearly is an amazing shot, with clarity, color, composition and correct balance. It is now one of my favorites as well. Best regards and good luck when the voting starts. -Art

abraxas_aut Thank you very much too ~ Best wishes ~ nick

U. Figge, Hi dear Uli and yes the year's seem to pass quicker and quicker ~ Thank you so much for the YSL and warmest wishes to you too ~ nick

♦Rosa♦ The trouble is it would be a very long drive for you Rosa and you would be wanting a good sunny day, with little wind and the season just where you want it ~ all very difficult to get together. However the trip would definitely be worth it if you got the timing right. It varies a little from year to year and this year was not a patch on last year for example ~ All the very best to you and thanks for the like ~ nick

Lovely photo series - this one is so serene in its chaos of color, dear Nick - best of luck! I had to look up Mervyn Peake - Gormanghast is familiar but from several decades ago. I must try to obtain and read the series again. I understand it was quite a stage success. If you do decide to read Tolkien, start with The Hobbit and then read the Lord of the Rings trilogy. That will use up all your spare time in front of a blazing winter fire (though I doubt you have a lot of spare time)! Very wet and grey here today, but calm - I like calm. Say Hello to the next Ent that you see! Though they are land creatures, they are well liked by mermaids. They tell great stories. Happy hugs (O:

Hi Nick ~ practice makes perfect!! YSL.
Have really enjoyed looking back over your previous visits to Sheffield Park and as you say the tree colours last year were stunning but the perfect mirror finish on the lake makes this truely outstanding.
Very best wishes to you ~ Mark
