Sunset in the Junction Triangle. No boat is lost in this triagle, in a neighbourhood located in West Toronto far from the lake Ontario.
The "triangle" shape of the neighbourhood is formed by the three sets of railroad tracks on the north, west, and east sides.
Since 1960s the industries were slowly leaving, which resulted a decline in the local economy and jobs. Most of the area is unchanged since the 1960s-80s. Many houses are poorly constructed, with cheap, slapped on additions or DO IT YOUR SELF improvements! Now, there are few projects to revitalize the Junction, as abandoned warehouses and factory buildings are being converted to urban lofts. Some more successfully, then others.
