After literally being chased away from my vantage point at 37th Street by the police, I went up to the north end of town to check out conditions at the beachfront on the Chesapeake Bay side. Normally there is little or no surf here. The waves, if you can call them that, come in at about 6 inches (15cm.) high and gently plop on the beach; perfect for small children and those who cannot swim.
