I just happened to be out Whitby way again so I stopped off to have another go at this scene, the forecast had said we were in for a clear night so I expected a better sunset that the previous shot but it just got more grey and cloudy as the sun dropped. At least it is different enough and for all it doesn't have boats or people it does some other points in it's favour for being lighter overall.

Tha's got thissen there ower early lad, folks aren't home from work yet,yon chimney's not smokin;-)) There's nothing wrong with a grey sky Sam, maybe a bit of a disappointment when you were expecting better. No people or boats but there's some nice breakers rolling in,two lovely shots,i'll bet you're a happy little Sam now;-))

Yorkshire Sam on November 13, 2012

Quality wise this is the better shot Neil but for pictorial value the other wins so all in all I have the lot covered but not all in one image so no doubt I'll be trying until I am even more of a happy little Sam :o)

Cheers !

David Brown Photogra… on November 14, 2012 has now.... twice (see your previous description).

I like them both and I would keep going back until I was happy (or sick to my back teeth) with it Sam

Fotography is like fishin' - you can keep going back to the same spot and sometimes you don't mind catching the same fish.

Jethro me auld fruit I was buying all you were selling until the penultimate word, that's like me saying I'm handsome ! :o)

Glad you like em mate, cheers :o)

David Brown Photogra… on November 14, 2012

What, me saying I'm saintly is like you saying you're handsome? Remember I've seen your photograph whereas you've not seen my police records (or heard my wife's opinion).

Yorkshire Sam on November 15, 2012

Jethro If it comes to that there's neither of us handsome or saintly . As for your wife's opinion your're welcome to it and I'd imagine you'll hear it often enough so I don't need to ;o)

Absolute wealth of wonderful images Sam, is it your keen eye for the interesting or your use of the camera?, post photo editing...what?. All 10/10

Yorkshire Sam on November 20, 2012

Lex, I'd like to think I add a little of all the things you mention to do Yorkshire proud because after all it is being in such a beautifully varied county that allows me to keep bringing something here to captivate those that live in less attractive places such as... well everywhere else really :o).

Cheers :o)

Two stunning photos Sam, however this is my favourite. I like the warmth of the street against the dark sky. Regards Derek

Yorkshire Sam on November 25, 2012

I favour this one also Derek but more for it being a better and sharper exposure. It is under the heading of work in progress since I feel I can improve on both given some nice ambient light and colour in the sky. Many thanks and kind regards, Sam :o)
