Tolles Titelbild Michael!
danke :) Kommt später noch im Original. Du kennst sie ja...
What is Bonner Bogen?
...very special :)
Hover Mouse or the map. Scroll out - some. Your will see from 2km altiude that old Rhine River descirbes a bend. A small one.
That area is know as "Bonner Bogen" for the older residents. That area was a cement plant until at the end of the 80s.
Since the area has become selected for a new use as a sience center, a high class spa hotel (frontside above) as well as a pretty good restaurant. Named "the Rohmmuehle".
Panoramio Wim (first post) and I met there after business in July.
I see. The bow of Bonn.
Non... je n'y arrive pas, comment faire?

@mene, in Google Earth you can see the altitude, but here in the Map it's not possible, is it? Or do you have some trick for that?
Mais, c'est bonne à Bonne, PASSAGES ;-)
Poly - you can see a ruler in the lower left corner of the map. That is what i meant. That does not work in your browser or its local configuration?
That ruler shows what is meant with a distance of about 2km...
cheers, M :)
Yes, I've seen this ruler. But it is for horizontal distances and not for the altitude.
...so jetzt hab ich den auch wieder...
You are right, Poly. Just for to show how far one may scroll out (or in) one can use an scale ruler as an indicator also for the viewpoints height. So that horizontal distance will work properly as a sign how far one may go 'up in the air' ;)
cheerio - michael
