Kids paradise; Kinder paradijs

Now that is a fascinating playground Berend! Is it really made of wood, as it appears to be? Using small logs to construct playgrounds used to be popular over here, but now they have nearly all been pulled up; as the timber had to be treated (with chemicals) to stop the wood getting eaten by termites. The treatment gave the wood (pine) a greenish tinge, and I recall playing on plenty in the 1970s. Now all our playgrounds are made of steel and plastic, in nice bright colours. With soft matting underneath to save a few broken bones and scratched knees :-))

It's really all made of wood Caroline, except the Steel pipes of the chutes and some bars to climb up. We don't have termites in the Netherlands, so I don't think the wood is treated with chemicals. The kids love to climb in this castle and then slide down. We (grand)parents sits aside having a drink and a snack while the kids have fun. But we have also playgrounds were the toys are made of steel and plastic. Great that you came by, thanks. Greetings Berend
