Manastir Savina Manastir Savina se nalazi pored Herceg Novog, i napravljen je u bujnoj mediteranskoj vegetaciji na jednom od najlepših delova severne crnogorske obale. Manastir se sastoji od tri crkve: Mali hram Uspenija Presvete Bogorodice, Veliki hram Uspenija Presvete Bogorodice i Hram Svetog Save po kome je i manastir dobio ime. Mali hram Uspenija Presvete Bogorodice je veoma mali, samo deset metara dugačak i šest metara širok. Najverovatnije potiče iz 1030. godine, mada je najstariji zapis u kome se manastir spominje i iz 1648. godine. Njegova obnova započeta je krajem 17. v, dolaskom izbeglih monaha iz manastira Tvrdoš (Hercegovina), a završena je 1831. godine. U manastiru se nalazi veliki broj relikvija koje potiču iz doba Nemanjića (mošti carice Jelene, krst Svetog Save), uključujući i one prenete iz manastira Tvrdoš. Hram Svetog Save, koji je Sveti Sava i sagradio se nalazi van manastirskog kompleksa. Veliki hram Uspenija Presvete Bogorodice je sagrađen između 1777. i 1799. godine, a gradio ga je majstor Nikola Foretić sa ostrva Korčule.


Savina Monastery Savina Monastery is located near Herceg Novi, and is made in the lush Mediterranean vegetation in one of the most beautiful parts of the northern Montenegrin coast. The monastery consists of three churches: the small church of the Assumption, the Great Temple of the Assumption and St. Sava Temple in which the monastery is named. Small church of the Assumption is a very small, only ten feet long and six feet wide. Probably dates from the 1030th years, although the earliest record which mentions a monastery from 1648. year. Its reconstruction began in the late 17th v, with the arrival of refugees from the monks Tvrdos (Herzegovina), and completed in 1831. year. The monastery has a large number of relics originating from Nemanjic (relics of the Empress Helena, the cross of Saint Sava), including those transferred from Tvrdos.
