This is not correct,...the house in question is the one immediately east of this one and down the hill,...I know as I have been in the house prior and during construction.

Yes it IS the site of the old Tate house. shedhatchet is wrong. The gate was at the extreme right of the photo and the tree on the extreme left of photo is about all that is left, it was under this tree that Abigail Folger died. Can be compared to photos of old house.

I have done research on this. All you have to do is look up Manson Murders. There is a site that has Crime seen photos and also an arial view of the Tate house. I compared that photo of the Tate house with the google earth picture and you can easily tell that it is the same site and I have also heard that the new Mansion is haunted by the muuder victims.

I agree with hautforte, when i was @ the tate house in the fall of 1974,the house dead ended @ the end of Cielo Dr.The fence was electroniclly opened and off to the right was the guess house and then the main house was not in view because it continued around to the right. On the left side of the road was a couple of houses the one closest to the Tate house was on stilts. When i went back in 2008, the landscape was the same out side of the Tate house as it was in 74'but the new house there is huge and on the ugly side. But some of the trees were still there, but much larger now.It is definately the same location of the Tate house.
