A very good image, Jeff. I like the mood, and the composition.

I passed through Sha Tin in 1975, and haven't been there since. In 1975, the development of Sha Tin had just begun, so it is fascinating for me to see it now.

Regards from Australia,

Hi Ian

Wow!. It is over thirty years ago. It is completely different now.

Thank you for your visit and comments.

At that day, the fog is exceptional heavier than normal. I was lucky to have such opportunity to take this photo.

Best wishes, Jeff

Dear Jeff,

Sometime I must tell you the story of 1976 - especially how I was so nervous as I rode the train out of Kowloon heading for my first visit to PRC! On the platform at Kowloon we learnt from the newspaper stand that Chou Enlai had died! And three days later the people of PRC learnt the news.

I attended a memorial service held in a large hotel in Changsha, and shortly later was taken to visit the birthplace of Mao. The people loved Chou and despised and hated the other but were unable to say so except with silent hand signs! Oh 1976 - what a calendar year!

If you came to China in 1976, it is an exciting adventure as China started to open his door the world. And you were at the critical and sensitive moment. That's why you still remember it.

Greetings, Jeff
