Beautiful picture, Sam. I love the long exposures of water. It makes the water look like a lava flow except for the color.

Richard, it can be a peaceful place but it's one that has a constant stream of visitors and for obvious reasons as you see. Ian, I'm surprised there is only one person visible given the many that were crossing the bridge on the day, yes the barn was a useful element and helps also to allow me to offset the weir a touch in the composition. Guy This wasn't a particularly long exposure but I know what you mean re the effect. Lex, delighted to receive your compliments as always.

My thanks to you all for taking the time to add your lovely comments, kind regards, Sam :o)

Grand job Sam, got to agree with Ian, there's also the tree left of the barn and the last of the Autumn colour. The river looks to be a fair old width unless of course its the angle you shot it from.

Beautiful country scene. I especially like the transition of the calm water in the weir to the flowing rapids. Regards Derek

The river is fairly wide Neil though yes the angle does make it look more so. Yes I liked that element too Derek and even took a more artistic shot just of that which can be seen here

my thanks to you both, regards, Sam :o)

Your 'artistic' shot is wonderful. Very sharp with superb detail - i.e. the bubbles in the flowing water etc. Thanks for sharing. Regards Derek

I'm delighted you enjoyed it Derek, I often get too engrossed in the bigger picture to bother with such things but it's refreshing to occasionally spot and have time for details like that. Many thanks ! regards, Sam :o)
