No lietuvietēm šī ir visskaistākā. Laikam jau tādēļ, ka interesanti nofotografēta.

Paldies! :)

Krusta kalnam gan jābūt interesanam. Gaidu bildes.

Cerēju notvert to īso brīdi, kamēr saulīte vēl spīdēja, bet pie kalna nekā.

Nice picture Ainars and interesting church, I have never been there:) Thanks again for your help with my Riga photo! Greetings, Jurgis

You are welcome! And thanks again for comment on my photos!

When I get this photos and tried read available sources for more details about Žeimelis history and churches then I was surprised, I know almost nothing about Žemigales and our common LV-LT borderland history. Meanwhile, do You know than Valka-Valga and Žeimelis has lot in common in history? I mean - dividing under different countries.

Cheers, Ainars

Hi again Ainars, yes, the history of places near border is really interesting, unfortunately I don't know much about it... I see Zeimelis is not far from E67 which I take quite often when going to Latvia or Estonia, also place worth to visit... Cheers, Jurgis

Hi Jurgis, there is some web resources I read about Žeimelis and borderland.

I used roads from Bauska to border, and can't recommend for You try again, unless You drive Range Rover or similar SUV. That part or roads (specially in Latvia side) are not in best condition. Much better is to use shortest exit routes to Pakruojis, Juoniškis or Eleja. :) With best rgrds - Ainars

p.s. My roots is from Lithuania borderland (near Mažeikiai), so, I remember and use Lithuanian language when necessary, which helps me escape "Lost in translations" situations. :D

Hi Ainars, thanks for this link, it's a good site, I already knew it and used sometimes when reading some things about various manors but more around Vilnius. I think I will be in that places in the end of May, we probably will have a concert with my wife in Dobele. And next my visit to Latvia will take place maybe in end of June to Ventspils where I want to take part in orienteering competition:)... My best wishes, have a nice weekend, Jurgis
