I first became aware of this building in the 70s and it was empty then, too. It is unlikely ever to be refurbished as planning for an access road would not be granted because it would have to cross part of the historic Hadrian's Wall earthworks, which is an historic monument.

How beautiful. It looks like an interesting building too. For what was it used? It's so sad that it is just going to waste out there all alone.

A very nice shot. I love the color of the sky. It's almost purple! Beautiful!

I like the photo very much, and I also needed this little bit of sunshine. It's been very dull and dreary today, and there's more of the same forecast.

I have tried hard to find some history with no luck. I assume it was a small farm house with attached workshop. The sky was quite amazing: It was blue behind me and the wind was blowing in a weather front. The rain came an hour or so later.

Well, you certainly captured it quite nicely. You also cheered up Marilyn with the sunny view! Well done!

I just came home from driving for nine hours so that my have something to do with this, but, I was staring at the building on the photo and I swear the clouds moved behind it!
