Pretty photo, but not taken from Dead Man's Flats. I live in Dead Man's, and to the north you see Grotto Mtn, to the east Pigeon Mtn, to the south Mt. Lougheed, and to the west the Three Sisters and Mt. Lawrence Grassi. Tho photo looks like none of those. It could be a number of mountains, including anywhere in the south end of the Spray Lakes Valley, possibly farther south down Hwy 40. The mountains barely break treeline, so need to be in the front range. Just not near Dead Man's Flats.
I concur with rdyerda. Not Dead Mans Flats. Considering the dip on the stata, it appears to be taken looking south, maybe the north side of Heart Mountain.
Thanks for the suggestions. I remember taking the photo on the way back from Kananaksis, somewhere between Canmore and Kananaksis Village. I have renamed the photo Kananaskis Foothills.
