Corinthia, Evrostini (dedicated to Apostolos Doulias)

Evrostinι (or Zaholi) was the capital of the old municipality of Evrostini and was the "metropolis" of West Corinth. Zaholi existed before the year 1500. It has an altitude of 700 meters and is 14 km from the coast and 70 miles from Corinth. Agricultural production is rich. Produces cherries, apples, persimmons, plums, pears, tomatoes and finally the famous and award-winning "Zacholitika beans". Zaholi has great contribution in the struggle of the nation during the War of Indipendence (1821-1830).
