Superb photo, good tone and mood, Ken. Surreal indeed, but a lot of hyperrealism in the sweet background haze.
Love this one! A really nice mix of high contrast in the foreground and low contrast in the background. Awesome composition and tones!
Rafael, thank you kindly for you comment and the wishes. I hope all finds you well in Brasil now that Avenida Brasil is finished :( I'll miss that show!
Sixten*, good to hear from you my friend. I do believe I can blame you for my latest monotone streak, including this one! Thanks for the comment.
Kevin, thanks buddy! Glad you like it.

Ungeheuer am Strand. LIKE und Gruß, gisela
Thank you Gisela for the comment, I also thought it looked like a monster, maybe even 2! Cheers from Portlandia --- Ken
I really like how the change in contrast works here to separate the foreground and background monsters. And I love the color! It helps increase the surreal quality, and makes the foreground shape stand out as more imposing.
Is this from the same day as black and white Surreal Nature? I like this one even better!
Thanks for the comments Ken, it is from the same day as the one you pointed to. In fact the other was taken a mere 27 seconds after this one. I believe it was the first time using my tele-zoom so I was snap happy with it. Funny, until you pointed to it I hadn't realized I named them the same! Cheers from windy, cold but sunny Portland!
I think that means the name definitely fits the subject.
looks like some dynosaurs confrontation! Like
