Thank you Pam, they are very amusing to watch!
Best wishes, Rosa.
This is also a very delightful shot, Rosa! This time you even caught two squirrels!:) They are so cute and of course I like this photo very much! Best wishes, Anne
Hello Anne, I was watching them for quite a while before I moved very slowly with the camera but the top one soon ran off! The one on the grass is a frequent visitor and isn't very bothered by me ;-) Many thanks for your welcome comments.
Am I looking at two grey squirrels
or two reds.....or a cross between?
The greys are doing untold damage
here in Ireland to beech saplings
and to the very existence of the
beautiful but smaller reds.
Hi Andrew, yes they are grey squirrels and apparently they do have a red tinge in the summer. Unfortunately there are very few red ones in mainland England, but they can still be found on some island such as Brownsea Island where I am going to visit next spring. In my youth, I worked in Bournemouth and the parks were overrun with them! I just can't help liking these two frequent visitors though.
All the best, Rosa.
Thank you for the YS Loe...and happy Advent week to you.
Well caught ~ that looks to be a very rugged bird table ~ just as well rally :~)) ~ All the best ~ nick
Thanks Nick. The squirrels have since wrecked that feeder! I tie them on there too! They can't undo my bow :-)
Yes I had a squirrel eat right through the plastic of a grain feeder as your table has to the left of the squirrel's tail down at the lake side, whilst in our garden here the wire mesh container for nuts also got wrecked. In the garden here we now try various different places to hang the bird feeders that the squirrel cannot reach :)) Cheers ~ nick
That's the one they ate though. I had to buy a squirrel proof one for the nuts...I love watching them though :) Cheers, Rosa.
