Wonderful photo! But if it's spring he's contemplating, he doesn't seem too enthusiastic about it. Maybe it's the prospect of feeding those babies ...
Maybe it's: "Looks delicious! But the shell seems a bit tough!!"

Oh Dear.... Marilyn, can you not see the sweetness and utter joy in his little face? His eyes were on his beloved as she was perched on the banister near me. They had spent all morning picking out their new home for the spring, and put on quite a happy show for me! I will have to post another of him with his lady! They were adorable!
Marilyn Whiteley, on March 3, 2008, said:
I apologize to him for misunderstanding! It would have been a real treat to watch them.
MaryAlice, on March 3, 2008, said:
Okay Marilyn... come over and name this latest one that I just posted up. It is of this same happy bluebird with his chosen one in the background behind him. He was so proud of her, just dancing around and trying his very best to impress her. I don't remember how to add a link, but just look at the very last picture that I posted!

No apology necessary! I don't think his feelings were hurt in the least.

Yes, I did use a zoom, however, I was perched right in front of them, and had been for probably an hour before I actually got this particular shot. It's all about waiting it out and making sure they are comfortable with you there. They begin to trust you after a little while and anything is possible!
Thank you so much for stopping by. It's always great to see you!

The famous Blue Bird that was supposed have flown over the White cliffs of Dover. But sadly never did or could, as he's a native of North America and not Europe. Maybe we could introduce a few to make Vera Lynne' classic song become true.

It's so neat that we have the same name! Were you named after anyone? I was named after my aunts on two different sides, though my mother still always calls me MUFFIN Alice instead of Mary Alice! :)
Thank you very much for your very kind comments and praise on this male bluebird! He was trying to woo his mate, so he stuck around for quite some time! They were so much fun to photograph that afternoon! His wife is sitting on her nest on my front porch as we speak! I put a cute little bluebird house out there, and she took it over right away! I was so pleased! :)
Thank you again for stopping by, and I hope you enjoy your weekend.
Greetings from the sunny south,

Well, thank you for visiting this sweet little bluebird. He was gazing at his mate with the sweetest of expressions. They are proud parents now. :)

Between us we shot 1547 pictures and movies, so it's taking a while to sort out which two or three hundred we should upload!
Look for photos at CMB soon!
