. The Meek Pants Factory, is today the home of the Bonaparte Inn. The Meek Pants Factory was begun in 1889 with 20 machines. In 1892, Isaiah Meek, son of William, built the present building which was 54 x 110, 3 1/2 stories high, was outfitted with 40 machines and in 1896 was turning out 30,000 pairs each year. The bricks used in its construction were made at the Meek brickyard located just west of the cemetery on the west edge of town. (1)
