The last time we were in Germany (2005), we explored the Harz, to the north of here. While we visited Celle and Goslar, it was the former East Germany that we loved the most as it was not as commercialised or as crowded. So the environs of Ilsenburg (you will find a couple of images in my gallery) and Wernigerode became special for us.
Thüringen is not that different from such areas, and I very much enjoy the many photos of the area that you have in your folio.
