The Philippine Eagle

The Philippine Eagle - (Pithecophaga jefferi) formerly known as the monkey-eating eagle, is a large eagle with a wing span of around 2 meters. It is characterized by a massive arched beak, and rather narrow, pointed long crown feathers which can be raised to form a crest. The specie is adopted to foraging with high maneuverability in forest. It commonly soars in the open above the forest.In addition, it has a very long tail and has long and powerful and fast legs.
