Looks kinda "wild" West.

Conrad Nay on December 9, 2012

Kinda wild west I suppose - more of the wild mountains though I think - 7500 feet elevation!

The Stanley Hotel is definitely worth a visit if you're in the Denver area. (As is Estes Park.)

I passed it on my way to Rocky Mountain NP, Conrad. Now I have to go back to have a beer at the bar.

Conrad Nay on February 9, 2013

Beautiful part of the world isn't it Norrel! The tour of the hotel is quite interesting, as it is haunted.

Norrel on February 10, 2013

I'm used to ghosts, Conrad. The name of my son is Casper.

Conrad Nay on February 17, 2013

Ah, but Casper is a friendly ghost Norrel. The guys in the Stanley Hotel apparently are not so pleasant. Remember, Stephen King got his inspiration for The Shining at this very bar!

Yu still hanging around this bar<>?

Conrad Nay on February 28, 2013

Nope - too scary! Actually it is a very nice bar; great setting, very hospitable bar tenders, and they serve an excellent Manhattan, which is what my daughter was drinking in the photo.

I would like to wish you a Happy New Year too! Looks like there is enough here to drink to everyone................

Warmest regards from Port Moody, Gabe
