Hi Merle - Thanks! The park ( when the government works so that it isn't CLOSED! >:-( ) is a wonderful place to spend the day hiking through the fields and woods or biking. A common misconception, though, is that this was the scene of a Revolutionary War battle. In fact, in spite of the cannons and lines of defense, all that the soldiers battled here was nature. It was the army's winter encampment, and they battled cold and lack of food.
