Light and shade at Lees Brook

Not selected for Google Earth or Google Maps [?]

Lees brook, is a little sunken area near my home. It used to be a hive of industry with two large cotton mills just at the edges of this picture. Now only one survives, and no longer hums, spins nor weaves, it just sits silent with its modern technology. Just to the left of this scene flows the young River Medlock and at this time of year (Autumn and Winter) is sometimes shrouded by cold wet mist. Enjoy!

A true 'Herb' again... sometimes I think you must be able to arrange your natural light conditions somehow.(magic?) The light alone here makes the scene and uses the darkness to complete herself.

I guess you succeeded perfectly in doing so. Perhaps a lot of luck and but also a good eye for beauty.
