This photo was taken in the middle of January 2006 shortly after a good snow storm. When the sun comes out in redrock country, snow will melt quickly but may stay in protected areas for several days.
The location is the ridge to the south of Delicate Arch that juts out and can be accessed from the lower bowl area by scrambling up some rock and hiking to the end. If you decide to see the arch from this location, it is worth the effort.......a view not seen by many. Prints are available of any of my images. Just click on my website link and send me an e:mail.
