Nothing against Hovenweep, but it's not normally a photographic subject that inspires awe. You've done a great job framing this shot and bringing out the depth.

Thanks for the complement Hank, but I personally find Hovenweep very impressive and beautiful. It is in such a remote spot, it feels almost haunted to me, as though spirits must roam here. At sunset, in a campground completely empty except for us, the coyotes were putting on quite the concert, and from far away, I could hear and feel drumming. Since Hovenweep is completely bordered by tribal lands, I'm sure someone was practicing their drumming technique just out of sight over the hill on the right of this photo. Still, it was so atmospheric and beautiful it gave me chills.

I was here about 12 years ago and I've wanted to come back ever since. I wasn't disappointed. I think you should take another look if you ever get a chance. Cheers, Eve
