LOL - Nothing like getting away from it all with a nice relaxing afternoon sail! Was the sail boat as close to the container ship as it looks? Either a really skilled or a really bad sailor!

A wonderful image. Now just remind me isn't there a rule which says that powered craft should give way to sail!!

Hi Kamaly and Ian. The big guy is anchored, so it is OK to sail as close as you like. He's not quite as close as it would seem -- I've sailed closer, but it's a little spooky. If you are upwind of them, like this sailor, they bend the wind in a favorable direction. If you go "under" them, on the lee side, you get all their dirty air and it slows you down.

Yes, steam gives way to sail ... but sail keeps in mind that it takes several kilometers for a steamer like this to alter course.
