Thanks - It is very fun, and I tentatively understand that the State has awarded Virginia City's train group some $$$$$ to extend the line all the way to Carson City by 2010 or 2011. We are really looking forward to that! They have a couple of steam locomotives waiting in the wings to haul their trains, and if we are really lucky, maybe the Nevada State RR Museum will agree to take one or both of their old roundhouse sweethearts out for a spin on the line, if as nothing else than decoration on the point! here is a website with some more details about this operation... The track drifts off into the curve making me want to follow it and see what's just around that corner into the hills.
