The torrential downpours we had in November caused the fields in the Welland Valley to flood, luckily confined to empty fields only, which led to some pretty rare photo opportunities. This image is taken from a well known viewpont, Rockingham Castle, with the church of St Leonards in the foreground. The wonderful light and clear conditions are courtesy of a lovely late November afternoon.
Worth checking out in lightbox, for the excellent detail across the river valley; as well as St Leonards, the chuch spires of Caldecote and Lyddington can both be clearly seen.
