The Singer Boot Shop. ( 1838) The Shop of German immigrant Johan Singer, a prosperous boot maker from the 1840's, who later made boots for the confederate Army. His sons and apprentices lived upstairs.

What wonderful times those must have been. I think I would so enjoy this sort of life as compared to the hustle and craziness of today's busy, loud world.
