This King Edward V111 Pillar box is the only one ever situated in South West England. Only 161 were manufactured & the whereabouts of less than 60 are known.

Thanks Bob, I believe there may be a couple in your county, Two exist in Leicestershire and can be found outside the sub post-offices in Hugglescote and Earl Shilton."

Hi Tony I have found the Edward V111 pillar box at Hugglescote,I am sorry to say the only other recorded example in Leicestershire at Earl Shilton,like a lot of our village history been swept away in the name of progress. All the best and have a good Christmas. Bob

Hello Tony Glad to say that I found the lost Edward V111 pillar box in a new position close to the outskirts of the village, the old sub post office closed over 20 years ago. Regards Bob
