Hiking is our dream for the reflection in our life. Great photo!

This is one of my favorite photos I've seen taken in the Uintas. Wonderful color, exposure, composition, and natural beauty. I'd love to go there at dusk and try to duplicate it sometime.

Hey Shawn! Perhaps we may bump into one another while hiking up there. Looks like you spend just as much time or more up there as I do. I am looking forward to spring when the Mirror Lake Highway is opened again. Can't wait to get up there!

I'd like to get up there when the highway opens too. I was wondering about a couple of your shots, if the highway was open when you took Ruth Lake in the snow shot.

'Ruth Lake Winter' was taken in November a few years ago. My son and I drove SR-150 since they hadn't closed it yet. We were hoping that the lake wasn't frozen over so we could do some late season fishing but it was all iced up. My son, Logan, brought his hip waders that he uses for hunting and created a path through 2 1/2 feet of snow which I happily followed. We were the only ones up there at the time but soon there were a couple of other hikers that enjoy winter outings that followed our trail.
